MEDORA - Medora's 13th annual Old Fashioned Cowboy Christmas will be held Friday and Saturday at the Medora Community Center. It begins with an oyster stew supper at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Cowboy Cafe, followed by a wreath ceremony downtown Medora and a jamboree and dance starting at 7 p.m. at the center. On Saturday, there'll be hay rides in the morning, a quilt show, "eats on the street" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Christmas dinner at 5 p.m. and a Christmas dance at 8 p.m.

BOWMAN - The Southwest Health Care Auxiliary will hold its 37th annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the long-term care center in Bowman. The auxiliary will have lefse, crafts, a bake sale and raffle.

DRISCOLL - A vendor fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Driscoll. A number of crafts and home-based vendors will sell gifts and food items. Proceeds will go toward the Hurricane Domestic Relief Fund.

KILLDEER - Dunn County will end its centennial year with a New Year's Eve party Dec. 31 starting with a 6 p.m. social, 7 p.m. dinner and dance at 8:30 p.m. at the Buckskin banquet room in Killdeer. Tickets are $25 and will be available starting next week, with limited seating available.

LINTON - A New Year's celebration gala will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 31 at the Linton Knights of Columbus Hall, including fabulous food stations, dancing to the Joe Friday swing band and New Year's Eve champagne toasting. PETTIBONE - The Pettibone Lions Club will hold a turkey shoot at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pettibone Community Building. Lunch will be served. Must be at least 21 years old.

STEELE - A Holiday Home walk will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 14 in Steele, leaving from the Steele Senior Center. A freewill offering to tour the homes will go toward costs of delivering meals to area senior citizens.

NAPOLEON - The Napoleon Modern Woodsman of America will hold a bar and ice cream social from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Napoleon Assisted Living complex. Proceeds will go toward the centennial garden at the complex and up to $2,500 will be matched by the fraternal society's matching fund program. WISHEK - A care and share tree is set up at Security State Bank in Wishek and folks are invited to pick a gift tag off the tree and bring a smile to a resident at the Wishek Home for the Aged. Gifts should be returned to the bank for delivery by Dec. 15.

WATFORDCITY - Santa will be in Watford City at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Watford City High School commons area. Kids can wake him up and tell him their Christmas wishes, or later, from 1 to 3 p.m., they can take an ornament to the talking Christmas tree, located next to Cherry Creek Photography.

WASHBURN - Augustana Lutheran Church in Underwood will hold its 50th annual Women's Christmas Tea at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The theme is "Merry Christmas Memories," and the tea will include traditional Scandinavian treats. Participants are asked to bring a food item to be donated to the McLean Family Resource Center.
