AMandan man was arrested Thursday morning following a standoff with police.
Mandan Police Lt. Chris Miller said officers were called to a possible domestic dispute on the 900 block of Poplar Street at 1:58 a.m. Thursday. Upon their arrival, officers were met by an "angry man" who allegedly threatened officers while displaying knives and a compound bow, Miller said.
Officers called in West Dakota SWAT. SWAT members later made contact with the man over the phone and entered the house to take him into custody, Miller said.
The 29-year-old man was arrested without incident, Miller said. He said the man's girlfriend and three children inside were not injured. A fourth child had fled the residence prior to the standoff, which is how the original domestic dispute was reported, Miller said.
He said social services has been contacted in the case.
The 29-year-old man is being held in the Morton County Correctional Center pending charges.
