Huff Hills, the ski area south of Mandan, is making snow and will continue to do so as the weather permits.

Snow-makers work best when the thermometer dips below 18 degrees for an extended period of time, usually eight hours.

Owners of the ski area say they are hoping to open to the public by Dec. 13, according to the Huff Hills Web site.
