The Bismarck Engineering Department announced three street areas will be closed or restricted for construction work beginning Monday.
Divide railroad crossing
East Divide Avenue will be closed to through traffic due to the upgrade of the DMVW railroad crossing. The railroad crossing should be reopened mid-week.
A detour will be in place.
Affected westbound traffic should use Bismarck Expressway to Rosser Avenue to 35th Street.
Eastbound traffic should use 35th Street to Rosser Avenue to Bismarck Expressway.
11th Street closure
Beginning 8 a.m. Monday, 11th Street will be closed to through traffic north of Divide Avenue.
It is closing for a water main replacement project, starting at Divide Avenue and going north 800 feet.
No detours will be in place and traffic should seek alternate routes.
Traffic that needs to access businesses on 11th Street north of the work area should use Capital Avenue.
Century Avenue lanes
The outside lanes of the Century Avenue Bridge at Hay Creek will be closed for bridge work starting Monday.
The pedestrian trail on the north side of the bridge could be closed when work is in progress on the north side of the bridge.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction. The lane restriction will be in place through Thursday.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speeds in the work area. Traffic is asked to use caution during potential congestion periods.
