A day of family activities highlighting the Homestead Act and its impact on North Dakota will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 at the North Dakota Heritage Center.
It will include Jerry Tweton, the Gary Miller Family from Mandan, singer-songwriter Chuck Suchy, demonstrations and other programs reflecting how homesteaders went about their daily lives quilting, sewing, farming and other activities.
