A Mandan woman has made a court appearance on a felony theft by deception charge.
Laurene Eastin was charged in September with Class Cfelony theft by deception. She made her first appearance on the charge Tuesday at the Morton County Courthouse.
South Central District Judge Robert Wefald allowed Eastin to remain free on her promise to appear.
Eastin is accused of making unauthorized purchases with credit cards belonging to Buehler-Larson Funeral Home while she was an employee there. The alleged thefts occurred between 2005 and July 2008, according to court documents.
