The State Historical Society of North Dakota's curator of education, Marilyn Snyder, has received the 2008 "Environmental Educator" Trees Award.

Snyder was one of 21 Trees Award winner recognized by the North Dakota Forest Service and North Dakota State University during the Oct. 11 ceremonies at the Fargodome.

Nominations were submitted from throughout the state.
