Police have released surveillance video of a bank robbery last week in Mandan.

Around 5 p.m. Friday, an armed man robbed Starion Financial Bank, 109 First Street N.W. in Mandan. Officers from the Mandan Police Department and Morton County Sheriff's Department arrived within less than a minute but were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the robber.

Mandan detectives said North Dakota Game and Fish helped them produce a video of the surveillance footage from the bank on Thursday. They have released the video to local media outlets. It shows the man inside the bank from several different angles.

Deputy Chief Paul Leingang said leads are still coming in to the department. Detectives are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in investigating the case.

Starion Financial is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the robbery.

The man who robbed the bank is described as about six feet tall, weighing between 200 and 250 pounds. He also was wearing a zipped-up jacket with a hood attached to it or a hooded sweatshirt underneath the jacket, a black ski mask, lighter-colored blue jeans and dark-colored boots and gloves.

Police also are looking for information about a car seen in the area of the bank about 45 minutes prior to the robbery. A man in his early 30s was seen driving a 2003 to 2005, light gold or tan-colored Chevrolet Impala slowly by the bank. Police do not know if the car or the driver was involved in the robbery, but they are looking for information to narrow down leads. The first two letters of the Impala's license plate are "HS."

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to call the Mandan Police Department at 667-3250.
