A 49-year-old Bismarck woman is being held after she allegedly kicked a Bismarck police office who was trying to subdue her.

Officer Andrew Zachmeier was attempting to take the woman, who was intoxicated, into custody Saturday evening when she intentionally kicked him in the leg, said Bismarck Police Lt. Mike McMerty.

Zachmeier was able to control the woman and take her into custody.

The woman is being held in the Burleigh County Detention Center, pending possible charges.

The incident happened in the 100 block of East Broadway Avenue, and Zachmeier was responding to an unwanted subject call.
