The Mandan School District opens the new Mandan Middle School to the community Tuesday. The evening begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7 p.m., followed by a dedication ceremony and guided tours. Refreshments will be served.
The new school is north of Old Red Trail off Sunset Drive. To call the school, use the same phone number for the old Mandan Junior High, 663-7491.
The old junior high was converted over the summer into the Great Plains Sixth Grade Academy. All the district's sixth-graders will attend school there until a new wing is built at the new middle school. The phone number at the Great Plains Sixth Grade Academy is 751-1107.
The first day of school for Mandan Public Schools is Aug. 21.
