SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Some of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation can be found in the Dakotas.
The U.S. Labor Department says four metropolitan areas shared the lowest unemployment rate nationally in September at 2.5 percent. They were Sioux Falls; Bismarck, N.D.; Casper, Wyo., and Logan, Utah.
Fargo, N.D., was tied for seventh at 2.8 percent, and Rapid City was ninth at 2.9 percent.
The Labor Department said South Dakota's September unemployment rate of 3.2 percent was the lowest among the states. North Dakota's rate was 3.6 percent.
