Cowgirls Attitude, a Western clothing, accessories and repurposed furniture store, is opening temporarily in the Kirkwood Mall.
Owner Jane Winkler said the store will be open in the space next to J.C. Penney from Monday through the end of December. The store will be open regular mall hours.
Winkler usually takes her wares on the road, selling at horse shows and rodeos, but decided to open a location for holiday shopping.
“With all the new furniture, I thought this spot would be great,” she said.
Country Hearth moving
Pan-O-Gold Baking Co., the maker of Country Hearth products, is moving to a new warehouse location.
Brad Bolin, a general sales manager for the company, said the company’s warehouse space at 1425 Interstate Loop was getting too small and the company needed a bigger space.
The company is opening a new location on North 26th Street near the Bismarck Eagles Club. Bolin said the company hopes to be open in the new location by mid-November.
Bolin said the outlet store will not open in the new location. He said outlet stores have “gone by the wayside” and whenever Pan-O-Gold opens new locations it does not put stores in anymore.
Bolin did not release what would be done with the old warehouse building.
Septic firm expands
Bis-Man Septic Service and Missouri Valley Petroleum have combined to open a new business, Big Muddy Septic Service.
Kirt Pelster, formerly with Bis-Man Septic Service, said the companies decided to work together because a large percentage of homeowners and businesses that use propane also have septic tanks.
“It seems like a great partnership,” Pelster said.
Pelster said the company specializes in the cleaning of septic tanks, car washes, shop pits, man camps and campers.
Cleanings are done by appointment and can be done on evenings and weekends as well as normal business hours. Pelster said cleanings are done the same day if possible.
Big Muddy Septic Service can be reached by calling 701-751-5868.
