BISMARCK, N.D. - The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is seeking members for the state's new Grape and Wine Advisory Committee.
The Legislature granted $80,000 for industry research and promotion. The committee will be consulted on the distribution of that money through grants.
North Dakota Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring will appoint the six-member committee from those who apply. The committee must include two grape producers, two winery owners, a representative of the North Dakota Grape and Wine Association and a producer of fruit, other than grapes, used in wine making.
