William Todd "Todd" Boehm was born Dec. 10, 1972, in Mandan, to William J. "Bill" and Danette (Uhlman) Boehm. He grew up in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School in 1991.
Todd grew up loving sports: football, baseball, and basketball, the New York Yankees, and the Green Bay Packers. He was the catcher (No. 9) for the Mandan Chiefs that won the state championship in 1990 and 1991. After graduation, Todd attended North Dakota State University.
Highlights from Todd’s life include watching Kendel perform Irish dance, attending the 1996 World Series game six in New York with his closest friends, going to Lambeau Field many times with family and friends, and games at Wrigley Field with family.
Friends would say of him, "Todd is just a guy you have to love." The ability he had to make friends (NO ONE was a stranger), he was always willing to stop what he was doing to help family and friends when needed.
Todd is survived by his beautiful daughter, Kendel Lydia, Maple Grove, Minn.; his mother, Danni, Mandan; his siblings, Teri (Jon), Fargo, Tammy (Scott), Garden Prairie, Ill., Scott (Erica), Kansas City, Mo., Alex, Belvidere, Ill., Areio, Deon and Ambrosia, Mandan; nine nieces and nephews, Taylor, Nathanael, Tyler, Logan, Landon, Lizzie, Brooke, Lily and Liam; several uncles and aunts.
He is preceded in death by his father, William "Bill."
In lieu of flowers, a memorial college fund has been set up in Kendel Poppe-Boehm’s name at Railway Credit Union, Mandan.
Burial was at the Mandan Union Cemetery following services at the Mandan Eagle Club on Jan. 22.
Todd always said, to anyone who would listen, “The best thing that ever happened in my life was the birth of my daughter, Kendel and watching her grow.”
