Roger was born May 19, 1960, in Bismarck, to Kenneth and Josephine (Lockner) O’Neill. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1978. He married Theresa Doll in June 1985 and together they had five children. He made his living as a union laborer and then as a truck driver for many years.
Roger cherished his family and friends. His children will remember summer fishing trips, riding along in the semi, and squabbling over who got to dance the father-daughter dance at weddings. His friends remember him as the life of the party, a social guy who loved softball tournaments, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and just catching up over a drink. Recently, Roger loved taking on the role of grandfather to his first grandchild, Josie.
