Mikey Hoeven will be the featured speaker at the Mandan Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast on May 10.

The breakfast, from 7 to 8 a.m., will be held at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Mandan. Tickets are available at $15 per person from Mandan Kiwanis Club members or by contacting Lacey Klose, 701-426-8347 or  lacey.klose@fwbt.com. Table sponsorships are $100.

Hoeven’s topic is “Making the choice to hear God’s word.”

Married to Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., she advocated for the prevention of underage drinking and on women’s health issues while the state’s first lady in 2000-10.

She is on the board of directors of the International Neighbors Club II in Washington, D.C., and on the Congressional Families Cancer Prevention Program of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, on the University of Mary board of trustees and chair for the Gateway to Science capital campaign.
