Reservations system for camping at N.D. state parks open
The 2018 North Dakota reservation system for state park camping sites is open, allowing reservations to be made 95 days in advance of the summer season.
Full state park services begin May 18. Online reservations are accessible 24 hours a day.
This year, campsite and teepee reservations may be made for May 18 through Sept. 3. In addition, the following horse parks will take campsite and corral reservations: Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park through Sept. 3, Fort Ransom State Park through Sept. 30, Little Missouri State Park through Oct. 31 and Sully Creek State Park through Nov. 30. All campsite stays are limited to 14 consecutive days in any 30-day period.
A $7 daily or $35 annual vehicle permit is required for each vehicle entering the park.
Fort Stevenson to host Fat Tire Bike Run Ride on March 3
Fort Stevenson State Park, in partnership with Val’s Cyclery of Minot, is hosting a Fat Tire Bike Fun Ride from 2 to 6 p.m. March 3. Refreshments will be served.
Bring a bike or rent one by calling 701-337-5576 by March 2 to determine availability.
The park charges a $7 vehicle entrance fee unless a current ND Parks & Recreation Department annual pass is displayed. Fort Stevenson State Park is located 3 miles south of Garrison.
