4-H range judging

The Oliver County 4-H range judging team placed second in the senior division of the recent state 4-H range judging contest at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service station in Mandan.

Team members are Reanna Schmidt, Center; Charlie Liffrig, Mandan; and Olivia Klein, Max. The Oliver team is coached by Rick Schmidt.

A combination team from Cavalier and McKenzie counties placed third in the senior division.

The McKenzie County junior team placed second in the contest. Team members are Magnus Trembath, Sylvia Boekelman and Wyatt Boekelman, all of Arnegard; Paige Delaney, Alexander; Ryan Pingel, Watford City; and Jaden Murphy, Williston. Morgan Wisness coached the team.

Teams from Williams, Oliver and Ward counties rounded out the junior division.

Foster County teams took first in both divisions.

Named to choirs

Several Legacy High School choir students have been selected as members of the Northwest Music Festival Honor Choirs. The festival is Nov. 3-4 at Minot State University.
