Churches to host Friday Lenten Fish Fries
The Knights of Columbus at Christ the King and Spirit of Life churches in Mandan are hosting Friday Lenten Fish Fries. The meal includes deep-fried fish and shrimp along with potatoes, bun, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and dessert.
Spirit of Life will host Fish Fries from 5 to 7 p.m. March 24 and April 7. Christ the King will host Fish Fries from 5:30 to 7 p.m. March 31. Prices are $9 for adults, $4 for children grades K-6 and a family maximum of $35.
UU Church muses on spiritual practices
Karen Van Fossan, minister of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship & Church, offers "Musings along the Missouri: Spiritual Practices for Life" during worship services on Sunday.
In this exploration of spiritual and inspirational practices across the ages, congregants will be invited into wholeness, sustenance and deepening compassion for all.
Van Fossan graduated from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities in 2015 and has been serving as the minister for the Bismarck Mandan UU congregation since August 2015. She is a foster mom, pastoral counselor, writer and social justice advocate.
Sunday services at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship & Church, 818 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck, are at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
