Churches offering financial guidance

Ramsey Solutions’ Financial Peace University will be offered in four locations in Bismarck. The nine-week course includes access to online video lessons, a one-year subscription to the EveryDollar Plus budgeting tool, member workbook for all nine lessons and other additional resources.

Launched by Dave Ramsey, the course teaches lessons on budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

“FPU will not only transform the way you handle money, but also your marriage and other areas of your life,” Ramsey said. 

Worship marks challenging time of life

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 106 Osage Ave. in Bismarck, will be hosting a Blue Christmas Worship from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. This worship acknowledges that Christmas, perhaps a first without a loved family member who may have recently died, can be a difficult period of time.

UU to host Winter Holiday Variety Show 

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship and Church, 818 E. Divide Ave., in Bismarck is offering a youth Winter Holiday Variety Show at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

From music to art to theatrical performance, this service will celebrate the cycles of the year, as the longest night of the year approaches.
