Lucas was diagnosed with JRA at age 2, and then with RND at age 14. Pain has always been "normal" for Lucas, and much of what his life has revolved around. Local doctors have done all they can with medications, but they are only aimed at pain control. Lucas is still, at age 19, living in near constant pain with very few options to look forward to. The chronic pain has taken away his childhood and is threatening to take away his future. We have located a hospital and group of doctors in Wildwood, Ga. (www.wildwoodhealth.org) who believes they can help Lucas get his life back. We have set up a benefit fund at Gate City Bank called "Lucas Irvine Benefit."
