REO Speedwagon will perform March 14 at the Bismarck Event Center as it extends its tour dates with Styx, along with special guest Don Felder.
The spring ‘18 tour is set to begin March 13 at Duluth, Minn.'s Amsoil Arena and wrap on April 15 at North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, S.C.
“We played 25-plus shows with our buddies Styx and Don Felder this past summer, and that was just simply not enough," said REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin. "The 2017 tour was too much fun, and there were so many more places to play. So we are gearing back up for a spring 2018 run.”
REO Speedwagon, which formed in 1967 and signed in 1971, and Styx have a rich touring and recording history together. In 2000, the bands recorded a live album and DVD called "Arch Allies: Live at Riverport" at Riverport Amphitheatre in Missouri. In 2009, the bands embarked on the “Can’t Stop Rockin’” Tour and marked the occasion with a single, “Can’t Stop Rockin’,” co-written by Styx’s Tommy Shaw and REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin. In 2012 and 2013, REO Speedwagon and Styx hit the road together with “The Midwest Rock ‘n Roll Express” tour.
