Heart-felt notes of the musical kind and flowers provide a package of love in vocal serenades by the Bismarck State College Men’s Ensemble on Tuesday.
For $20, the tuxedo-clad ensemble will sing a love song and provide the recipient with a fresh, long-stemmed red rose. For an additional $5, the group will sing two songs.
Sung a cappella, the song choices are “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.”
The ensemble performs on campus until 2 p.m., then director Dawn Hagerott takes the singers into the Bismarck community from 2 to 6 p.m. to serenade those special someones.
Serenades can be booked through Monday by calling 224-5768 or sending email to Dawn.Hagerott@bismarckstate.edu. All proceeds go toward BSC music scholarships.
Another option is the women's a cappella quartet On the Brink, which is offering Singing Valentines on Wednesday in the Bismarck Mandan area. For $35, the group will deliver a love song in four-part barbershop harmony and a stuffed animal memento with candy. Call 701-471-7963 to reserve a time.
On the Brink members are Linda Harmsen, Carol Kurtz, Jennifer Romsaas and Tracy Wolf.
