The Transportation Security Administration will offer a PreCheck expedited screening program at Bismarck Airport in October.
The enrollment center will be located in the airport’s Conference Room A Oct. 9-13. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Friday, it will be open from 7 to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m.
Pre-Check allows enrollees to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt. At some airports, passengers can keep their laptop in its case.
To start enrollment, go online at tsa.gov/precheck. Click on the words “Apply Now” to make an appointment to complete the enrollment process in-person at the airport. Applicants must bring a current U.S. passport or a driver's license and certified copy of a birth certificate. Fingerprints will be collected during the in-person session.
The application fee is $85 and is good for five years.
