Four join Kupper

Four people recently joined the Kupper Chevrolet staff.

Issac Marschall, Tom Collis Jr. and Koltan Montieth work in sales. Collis has previous automotive sales experience.

Whitney Muscha is a marketing specialist with previous marketing experience.

Hired, promoted

Four people are new employees at EMC Insurance Cos.’ Bismarck Branch and three employees have been promoted.

Kevin Riley is a new underwriter II-commercial lines. Riley has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drake University and joined the EMC Des Moines Branch in 2014.

Nancy Taylor, who has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Minot State University, is a claims adjuster I. She most recently was a senior insurance manager with a real estate company.

Taylor Hendrickson is an underwriter I. Previously a project assistant with an engineering firm, Hendrickson has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.

Andre Boucher also is an underwriter I, previously employed with a local credit union as a financial services representative. Boucher has a bachelor’s degree in finance from MSU.

Tanner Westlake, who has worked in the commercial lines underwriting department for four years, has been promoted to underwriter III.

Lonnie Hansen has been promoted to underwriting associate-commercial lines. Hansen has been with EMC as a rating associate VI-commercial lines for three years.

Justin Camplin has been promoted to risk improvement specialist. He had been a risk improvement representative with EMC in the state of Oregon for three years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Northern Illinois University.

Schnell achieves

Ryan Schnell, Bismarck, was a top-five producer of life, auto and personal lines insurance for Farmers Union Insurance during September. Schnell is the insurance agent for CCU Insurance Agency LLC.

Awards from DVR

The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation presented performance and recognition awards at its training conference last month.

Gross promoted

Shania Gross was recently promoted to mortgage processor at Choice Financial, Bismarck. Gross joined Choice as a frontline specialist in April.

Lowstuter selected

Derek Lowstuter, Mandan, has been named to the forest stewardship manager position with the North Dakota Forest Service in Bismarck. He most recently was a forest restoration specialist for the agency.

A native of Golden, Colo., Lowstuter holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resource management and a master’s degree in forest sciences from Colorado State University.

McDonald promoted

George McDonald has been promoted to chief officer of strategic services at the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas.

McDonald joined the staff in 2016 as the director of multimedia services and will continue those duties along with his new role.

He has experience in public relations and marketing and was an instructor at the University of Mary.
