Peterson attends
Dr. Greg Peterson, a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor at Medcenter One, recently attended the American Academy of Pain Medicine's 24th annual meeting.
The annual meeting facilitates a knowledge exchange that helps pain medicine doctors stay current on new concepts in pain medicine, developments in the basic science of pain medicine and the best methodologies for delivery of pain medicine services.

Dave Hoerner and Linda Iverson have been awarded Bianco Realty's Associates of the Month. Both had the most closed real estate sales for the month of January.
Trauger joins
Al Trauger has joined EAPC as senior designer. Trauger spent the last 23 years as estimator-project manager for Industrial Contractors in Bismarck. He attended Dickinson State College in 1970, majoring in business administration and also graduated from North Dakota State School of Science in 1977, receiving an associate in applied science degree.
Team honored
The Schlosser-Jacobson results team has earned the honor of the No. 1 Centurion Team for North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and part of Wisconsin, The Century 21 Morrison Pinnacle Award and the Team of the Year Award.
Leiss hired
Candlewood Suites named Jeanette Leiss general manager of its new hotel. In her new role, Leiss will oversee the entire operation of the hotel. Leiss most recently served as the general manager of both Fairfield Inns in Bismarck.
Jones certified
Joe Jones with The Rainmaker Group recently received his Professional Behaviors Analyst, Professional Values Analyst and TriMetrix Certifications from Target Training International. The certifications come as a result of study, workshops and testing conducted through TTI. The professional designations prepare Jones to help clients objectively measure their current and prospective team members.
Link certified
The International Association of Virtual Office Assistants, A Virtual Solution and Virtual Assistance U, through the certification body of "VACertification.com," recently awarded master virtual assistant certification to Sheila Link. Link, a Washburn resident, is a virtual assistant and owner of Link's Virtual Office.
Peterson promoted
Gate City Bank has promoted Sara Peterson to assistant vice president. Peterson is the bank's CRM supervisor, and is based out of the downtown Bismarck office. She has been with Gate City since 1997 and has held several positions since that time.
Trhlik selected
Pamela Trhlik has been selected as a senior public relations representative at MDU Resources Group Inc. in the communications and public affairs department. Trhlik is a 17-year veteran of the communications and public relations industry and most recently was employed at the North Dakota Department of Commerce as a marketing and communications specialist.
Exam passed
Kimberly Bethke, optician at Dakota Eye Institute in Bismarck, recently passed her national opticianry competency examination through the American Board of Opticianry. Bethke is a nine-year employee of Dakota Eye.
Schnaible joined
Trina Schnaible recently joined Coldwell Banker Realty group as a Realtor. She has more than 11 years of experience in sales and customer service to the real estate profession.
Three hired
Three new employees have joined the Mandan-based National Information Solutions Cooperative:
Gina Hatzenbuhler was hired as a support specialist in the accounting and business solutions division. Hatzenbuhler will provide assistance to NISC Members through support calls, training sessions and future software changes.
Connie Perkins also has joined NISC as a commercial and industrial bill processor within the corporate services division. Perkins will be responsible for entering invoices into the C&I system for accurate payment of consumer utility bills.
Ryan Preabt also was hired as a quality assurance specialist with the research, development and quality division. Preabt will perform tasks requiring planning, scheduling and testing to assure that developed products and product enhancements meet design specifications.
Fridgen awarded
Patrick Fridgen, a natural resource economist with the North Dakota State Water Commission, has been awarded the North Dakota State Engineer's Professionalism Award. Fridgen is a graduate of Moorhead High School and North Dakota State University. He was nominated for the award by co-workers and selected for the award by the agency's division directors.
Two attend
Tim Ell, president of Zorells Jewelry Inc, along with his wife, SharonEll, recently attended a series of educational seminars, workshops and courses at the Independent Jewelers Organization's Spring Conference held in Colorado Springs, Colo.
MedCenter news
Dr. Karen Rohr, bioethics and clinical research director at Medcenter One, wrote an article that was published in the November 2007 issue of The Prairie Rose. Her article is titled "Alcohol Use and Injury-Related Outcomes in Older Rural Trauma Patients."
Dr. R.J. Moen, an emergency room doctor, recently started work at Medcenter One. Moen received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He completed his residency at UND Family Practice in Bismarck.
Wenko selected
The city of Williston's Economic Development Office announced that Williston native Shawn Wenko has accepted the position of workforce development coordinator for the city. Wenko will play a central role in implementing the City Commission's "Build Williston Initiative." A 1994 graduate of Williston High School, Wenko has more than 10 years experience in destination marketing development.

Bismarck-Mandan Convention & Visitors Bureau Sales Manager Lori Schneider attended the inaugural Christian Meeting Planners Convention and Expo in Atlanta. CMPCE was designed to help organizations reach as many Christian event planners as possible at one event.
Schnieder and Mike Jensen also attended Destinations Showcase in Washington, D.C. Destinations Showcase is a one-day exhibition that gives planners a forum to share the latest ideas and trends.
Sheri Grossman, director of sales, attended the 2008 American Bus Association's Marketplace in Virginia.
