Schiche hired

Adam Schiche has been hired to work as an attorney in the legal department at MDU Resources Group Inc.

Schiche will work in the department through the end of the year, then will be employed by Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP in Washington, D.C., for one year. He will return to the MDU Resources campus in Bismarck in 2010.

Schiche is a graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law.

Broker honored

Paul Stiegelmeier, a financial adviser with the Bismarck office of Wachovia Securities, has received the broker of the month award recognizing client service.

Stiegelmeier has been with the firm since 1997.

AE2S adds

Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services Inc. has hired Dustin Dale as a design engineer in its Moorhead, Minn., office.

Dale earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University and previously was an engineering intern for the city of Fargo.

Lohstreter joins

Sandra Lohstreter has joined the Ameriprise Financial practice of Jason Kirchmeier, senior financial adviser, at 505 E. Main Ave., Suite 100, in Bismarck.

Lohstreter is client service manager.

Mikkelson hired

Evan Mikkelsen of Bismarck has been hired as a credit analyst by Starion Financial.

Mikkelsen has two years of experience in the banking and lending industry.

Originally from Langdon, he has a bachelor of science degree in finance with investments from the University of North Dakota.

Pahlke competes

Linda Pahlke with Baskets By Design recently won top honors at the annual Gift Basket Industry Convention in Atlanta.

She won second place in the design competition in the high-end baskets category, which qualifies her for designer of the year competition at the 2009 convention.

Winhold

recognized

North Dakota Guaranty & Title Co. has named Pam Winhold its employee of the month for August.

A title insurance agent with Dickinson Guaranty & Title, Winhold began her employment with N.D. Guaranty & Title in 2005 and transferred to Dickinson Guaranty & Title in 2006.

N.D. Guaranty & Title is the parent company of Mandan Guaranty & Title, Dickinson Guaranty & Title and Minot Guaranty & Escrow.

McMacken at clinic

Obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Audrey McMacken recently joined Medcenter One Dickinson Clinic.

McMacken, who is originally from Taylor, received her medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Strout joins

Kenneth Strout has joined the sales team at Beckers Business Services.

An Army veteran, Strout has computer technician and information systems management experience.

Beckers Business Services provides IT products and services to Bismarck-Mandan small businesses.

Marchus certified

Sarah Marchus, enrolled agent and owner of Padgett Business Services, recently completed the QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification course and exam and was designated a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Padgett Business Services is an accounting and tax office offering services to small business owners in the Bismarck-Mandan area. Padgett is located in the Northbrook Professional Building.

Two with Securian

Daryl Braun and David Wald have been named representatives with Securian Financial Advisors of N.D. Inc., a Securian Financial Network general agency.

Braun will work at Northland Financial, 207 E. Front Ave., Bismarck. He has been in the financial services and insurance business for 34 years.

Wald will be located at Northland Financial, 1313 Skyline Blvd., Bismarck. He has been in the financial services/insurance business for eight years.

Kvas transfers

Braun Intertec is expanding its Bismarck office staff, and has transferred Mark Kvas from Fargo to be a project engineer.

Kvas has been with the firm for more than four years.

Also, Steven J. Olson, has joined the Fargo office as senior engineer, and Travis Schmit, was recently hired as an engineer-in-training there.

Chiropractor added

Dr. Dixie Bachmeier has joined Gold's Gym in Bismarck as the resident chiropractor.

Gold's Gym members and nonmembers are welcome as new chiropractic patients.

Houston adds

Houston Engineering Inc. has added three people to its Bismarck office.

Alan Kemmet, engineer-in-training, is a recent graduate of North Dakota State University. He is originally from rural Tappen.

John Kritzberger, a civil engineering technician, is a graduate of Bismarck State College. Kritzberger is originally from rural Hillsboro.

Casey Einrem, P.E., is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City. He has eight years of experience.

Einrem is a native of Avon, S.D.

Drengson hired

Cindy Drengson has joined the home mortgage staff of Dakota Community Bank.

A native of Strasburg and a graduate of the University of Mary, Drenson has more than eight years of mortgage banking experience in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

Her office is at the bank's south branch in the Kirkwood Office Tower.

Smith elected

Gordy Smith, Bismarck, was elected to serve as president-elect of the North Dakota Society of CPAs, a professional organization.

Smith is an audit manager with the state auditor's office in Bismarck.

Bank hires Bauer

Susan Bauer, has become a commercial and agricultural lending assistant/personal banker at Security First Bank of North Dakota, Mandan.

A Bismarck-Mandan area native, Braun has more than eight years of banking experience.

Selzler with Basin

Lori Selzler joined the staff at Basin Electric Coooperative's Bismarck headquarters earlier this month as an account analyst I.

Selzler, a native of Fargo, was formerly employed as an accountant with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Fargo. She is a graduate of Minot State University.
