Jason Hopfauf ’93 – School of Business and Entrepreneurship

Being involved in the community in which one lives is
a great way to describe Jason Hopfauf. As the current
branch president of the Dakota Community Bank & Trust
locations in Dickinson, Jason has been an instrumental
member of many organizations in the community.
The list includes United Way, Dickinson Optimist Club,
Dickinson Mustang Baseball, Dickinson Baseball
Club, Inc., Dickinson Diamonds Softball, Dickinson
Area Chamber of Commerce, Dickinson Area Ducks
Unlimited, North Dakota Racquetball Association, CHI St.
Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, CHI St. Alexius Hospital
Foundation, and Blue Hawk Booster Club. He has served
in the leadership capacity as president in almost every

one of these clubs he has been a part of.

Jason credits his wife, Darcy (Forster), for impacting
his life. “She has always believed in me, encouraged
me, and challenged me to take on things I may have
otherwise avoided. We have raised three awesome
children (Tanner, Treven, and Taya), creating a home and
family that I am proud to call my own.”
“DSU provided me with the education that I needed to
be successful along with opening doors to opportunities
that would have otherwise been closed.”
